To Auntie Sarah and Uncle Brian with Love on your Anniversary

December 30, 2007 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Gratitude, Minnesota Me, Special Events 3 Comments

13 years ago today, our mommy & daddy met at your wedding. Thank you, Uncle Brian, for misspelling Mommy’s name in the program—you typed it up as “Maraget,” as you’ll rightly recall, and she wouldn’t have met our father if she hadn’t gone over to complain about it—and thank you, Auntie Sarah, for agreeing to let Daddy be in your wedding despite the fact that he tended to annoy you with his endless teasing.

Even though Daddy was but a lowly usher, he won the heart of the maid-of-honor and made her his bride 364 days later. Look at the good work the two of you have done! Mommy & Daddy are five sweet kids (and three in heaven) the richer for your union.

Today and always, you have our gratitude & our love.

With hugs & prayers & big, drippy kisses,

Joe, Jem, Cate, Felicity & Angela

I believe a ‘happy anniversary’ is do to you as well. I hope all is well, and we should be dropping by next summer.

OK, I FINALLY have access to the computer and the internet and the baby is sleeping. All at the same time.
Thank you, dear friend, for your lovely blog. Thank you for your prayers. Thank you for being a generous and lovely person. For the little bit of influence we might have had, you’re most welcome.
