This is a picture of our 3-going-on-4-in-two-months!-year-old George.
Do you remember how hard we fought we for this kid?
Goodness.
Lately George can’t decide if he’s a big boy or not. In fact, this whole thing with [insert new blog name for Baby Nickers here] has pretty much thrown him for a loop, because—on the one hand—he is absolutely smitten with his little brother. On the other hand, the one holding the shamrock shake above, he’s not the baby anymore.
This can be tricky. Attention is good and clearly babies get a ton of attention.
[insert big boy conundrum here]
Speaking of our preschooler, we have been listening to the Lenten CD from Making Music Praying Twice a lot. Do you remember when I blogged about this program? I truly love the work that Kate & co. are doing, and would like to direct your attention to a new Kickstarter project they’ve got going. Please give what you can to their awesome apostolate, and don’t forget to download a free copy of the Lenten song “Standing in the Need of Grace” while you’re over there.
We hosted a papal St. Paddy’s party on Sunday! (See little-boy-sipping-a-shamrock-shake photo above.) The goal was to blog about it yesterday, in honor of the papal Mass of installation, but then I got up to actually watch the papal Mass of installation (this was at, like, 0-dark-thirty) and spent the rest of the day in a semi-asleep but seriously happy stupor.
Would you still like to see some photos from the party? (This is a rhetorical question, obviously, given that I’ve closed comments for Lent.) I’ll do my best to post some soon because it was very fun, very festive, and oh-my-goodness-I-love-this-pope.
All the bad press that he’s getting, however? That I could really do without.
(Good thing it’s Lent.)
( I offer it up.)
Post-Publishing Update: I was inspired on the drive home from school this morning. Baby Nicker’s new blog name is going to be…Francis.
Somehow this just seems right to me.
