The Christmas Chronicles (Part II)

December 28, 2011 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Going Home, Gratitude, Minnesota Me 6 Comments

The “All I want for Christmas” Edition

Angela thought about asking for her two front teeth this Christmas, then changed her mind since she already has them.

That would be weird and just a little morbid.

Instead she asked for…and received…a visit home to see all the family! This meant three different houses in just two days.

They got to see Grandpa George & Grandma Rita…

They got to see Grandma Cathy & Grandpa Doug…

And they got to see Grandma & Grandpa Cookie!

Three different houses…three times the love…and three times the options for cookie platters!

Because I am doing photo books as gifts this year–and because I wanted to include our Christmas get-togethers in said photo books–I took (you could say) a fair share of photos.

(My sister Linda arrived the next day.)

We got a shot of all the siblings except one. She is a labor & delivery nurse and had to work on Christmas, birthin’ babies.

You can bet I cornered her when she showed up! Getting us all together is a rare & wonderful treat. We take what we can, when we can.

And that’s just one of the things that makes Christmas wonderful. Here are a few more:

Sort of gets ya right “there”, doesn’t it? Now it’s back to writing out those Christmas cards!

What beautiful photos to treasure. Funny, I think in Australia, we only send out Christmas cards to arrive before Christmas Day. I could be wrong…

    Cheers – Joolz
