My Little “Margie Face”

February 18, 2009 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Give-Aways, Minnesota Me, Motherhood, My Girls 6 Comments

This little baby…

…grew up to be this little girl:

When I brought her home from the hospital, my mother took one look and said, “Now that’s a little ‘Margie Face.’” (Margie—hard g—meaning me.) Well, she would know.

It’s true that many people think Cate and I look alike, and certainly she’s me all over the place in terms of her goofy, sanguine temperament. Lucky her, huh? No, lucky me. I am very blessed in her happy-go-lucky, eager-to-please personality, especially on those days when the other part of my temperament (the melancholic part) is the more active.

So yep. If you guessed Cate, you were right. Felicity doesn’t think it’s fair, incidentally, that this cute little baby turned out to be Cate. Felicity’s the one with the darker hair, after all!

I assured her that she was plenty cute as well:

Felicity, age 1

(Of course, I’m a big ol’ biased momma…)

And now on to the give-away. I went RANDOM.ORG this time to generate a number and the winner is:

Mary Ellen!

The fact that Mary Ellen was correct in her guess is merely coincidental. The give-away was open to everyone that left a comment. So thank you for playing, and don’t forget to tell me if you do the meme. It was a fun one.

AMDG,

I did it. 🙂 It was nothing special, though.

Oh, and how did you do the picker on Random.org? I’m trying to figure it out, but it’s not working. o.O

I had the resident mathematician help me, Katie! (Thankfully, this right-brainer married her complement.)

I’m out of computer time right now but I’ll post the instructions later.

That little girl truly has a Margie face–especially the smile!

I did end up doing the meme – it wasn’t nearly as interesting as yours though! 🙂 My picture turned out to be one of the many my boys take, so it was interesting to try to explain it…
