For Today, For Me, For You

January 20, 2009 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Cultural Commentary, Current Affairs, Minnesota Me, Prayer, Spiritual Growth 4 Comments

“There is a long way to go before we reach a just society in which the dignity of the person, a child of God, is fully acknowledged and respected. This is a task that belongs to us as Christians, together with all men of good will because we do not live justice if we do not wish to see it fulfilled in the lives of others. In the same way, it is wrong to shut oneself up in comfortable religiosity, forgetting the needs of the other people. The man who wishes to be just in God’s eyes also tries to establish the reign of justice among men.”

From today’s reading in In Conversation with God by Francis Fernandez.
Italicized quote is from St. Josemaría Escrivá’s Christ is Passing By, 52.
