The Very Best of New Year Eves

January 1, 2007 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Hearth & Home, Minnesota Me, Special Events 5 Comments

…begin with a lovely sit-down dinner at 8:00 p.m, the Rosary at 10:00, and a champagne toast at midnight.

We were so blessed to spend the night at our friends Mike & Tina’s house. Six happy couples and children too numerous to count (they appeared, like mice, when the food did). It was indeed a joyful New Year’s.

It is now 10:00 in the morning on January 1st, and most of us are still here! Though we’ve been told that, though the first night was free, the second costs $500.00.

So it’s away to Mass for the feast of Mary, Mother of God. But not before I must quickly say:

Happy 2007!

Thanks to bloglines, I found this updated post, complete with photo!

You are positively gorgeous! Marie (age 7), just looked over at my shoulder and said, “Is that Minnesota Mom? I’d know her anywhere!”
