Prayers of Supplication and Thanksgiving

December 21, 2006 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Gratitude, Minnesota Me, Prayer 6 Comments

Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled (Lk 1: 45).

Please join me saying a prayer of supplication or thanksgiving for the following:

  • Mary Ellen’s twins, who have RSV virus;
  • Molly & Jason’s 3 ½ year-old Johnny, who was non-responsive when Molly (a friend from our homeschool co-op) went to wake him yesterday. They rushed him to the hospital and was told that his glucose level was at 3 (a healthy level is between 70—120). He’s responding well to treatment, thanks be God, but what a trial for his mom & dad!
  • 8-month-old Joshua (also a twin), who is suffering from a horrible outbreak of eczema. He is the son of Eric & Julia, who are from our co-op as well.
  • Jen at Nestled in the Woods delivered a healthy baby boy, David, on Tuesday! Congratulations to Jen & John and family!
  • Yesterday I was able to meet Jamie, an on-line friend of the heart and also the sweetest, most faithful commenter a blogging gal could ever want. I’ll have pictures from our outting soon. (“Soon” being a relative term for us non-digital types.)
  • And finally, do you remember that baggie full of Jesse Tree symbols? I’m sure it’s been at the forefront of your thoughts! Well, I found it just this morning, while taking down the girls’ angels’ wings for our church’s Nativity play. It was on the shelf all along, for heaven’s sake, though in a much smaller bag than I remember. Thank you, everyone, who said a prayer that I might find them! 🙂

Have a blessed day, everyone. I mean it, now! Even if you’re way behind on your list (like me); it will be okay if you put it in God’s hands.

    I will pray for everyone, Margaret. Prayers for you and your wee one continue, as well.

    Will keep everyone’s prayer intentions in ours!

    We just entered the digital age a few days ago and I have to say that I am sorry to have waited so long!

    I also will pray for everyone, my rosary today will be for all!

    Also prayers of thanksgiving for you Margaret and your beautiful family, whom I was blessed to meet yesterday. All the work you do for this blog is greatly appreciated, it has helped me in my vocation as wife, mother, teacher. (as I am sure it has helped many) You are sweet, funny, encouraging and faithful. I look forward to reading here every morning! God Bless you!

    I will say a prayer for those you mentioned here, Margaret. And thanks for letting us know about little David! I noticed that Jen hadn’t posted for a few days and was really wondering if something was happening. Thanks be to God for the healthy delivery of her new son! (And on my anniversary, too, I might add! :))

    Blessings to you on this beautiful new day, Margaret!

    I wondered why Jen has been so quiet! And I just left her well-wishes for tomorrow.
