He’s home.
My newly-minted Marine is home, and what I want is to talk your ear off! You’ve got two ears, assumedly—it’s okay if I have one of them, right? Because I have at least five different blog posts that have been waiting less than patiently for this Marine mom to get home from the USMC graduation, which was last Friday (the 100th anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun!) and which was amazing, truly.
Honestly, honestly, I have so much that I could tell you! That strikes me as a little weird, though, especially after having blogged so inconsistently for the past several months.
It’s rather like walking up to you at a cocktail party and launching into my life story.
So instead, I’m going to give you a preview of what I’ve got planned. Warning: I will be tossing my heart into cyberspace, so if you’re out there…
…please catch it.
Or at least, don’t duck.
Here’s what’s on deck for the next few days:
Friday, October 20th is a long-overdue Netflix Stream Team review. Those folks are so very patient with this deadbeat blogger! Thank you, Joshua, Jesse et. al, for not giving up on this sidetracked momma…
…and thank you for the yummy birthday cake(!), which has long been devoured so yeah, I owe you a post.
Next in line is a post about that Marine of mine, and how being hyper-controlling when he was a boy turned out to be a big mistake.
I have a post about the October selection for the Well Read Mom book club, which (how do they do it?) turned out to be exactly what I needed to read.
It’s a God thing, of that I’m certain.
I have another Netflix Stream Team post—this time, I’ll be talking about the brand new season of Stranger Things and offering three free months of Netflix streaming to one lucky reader and his/her friend.
That’s not a post you’ll want to miss, at least if you’re a fan of Netflix.
Finally, for all those longtime readers that also homeschool, I have a post about the day-to-day grind of teaching 3rd grade and preschool. It’s never humdrum with my two little men—in fact, it’s often pretty loud—but I do have some tips for having fun and staying focused.
And that’s it, for today anyway! God bless the rest of your week, dear friend.
I hope to see you very soon.

You actually can talk both of my ears off Margaret and I would not mind one bit. Can’t wait to hear what you have to say!
