…on low-comment days to think this blog is all stuff and nonsense.
There is more to me than a ghoulish green face, I promise! Today is the anniversary of finding out about our Jem. Fifteen years ago & there you go…a positive pregnancy test on the Feast of St. Francis that filled this momma’s heart with joy.
We spent the day (it was a Sunday, I remember) in downtown Boston, taking part in a March for Life with other people from our church. I looked around at all the pro-choice anger and I thought, “How? Why? I can’t imagine.”
I blogged about it here, and tell Jem the story every year. He is wanted. So many aren’t.
Please join me in praying for life this month! Please join me in praying for life…and for love.

Low-comment days are disheartening. But please know how very much I appreciate what you write. And I'm right here with you on this issue. Thank you for the courage you showed. It's heartbreaking to see such a fight against love. There are sometimes important reasons for a woman to terminate her pregnancy, but the disdain for life and for love, the incredible selfishness, that we mostly see when it comes to abortion … it leaves me wordless. š

Whether I comment or not, I love your blog, your honesty, and your faith!
I think those who are fiercely pro-choice can't actually see or allow themselves to consider the baby. it's all about the woman and "her" body.
Having suffered a miscarriage a few months ago of a very wanted, but surprise and late-in-life blessing, it just hurts my heart even more to think that someone could not want a baby that much — or can't even consider giving a child life that other families can love and raise and be blessed with.
Thank you for your blog. I'm sorry you don't always know how much it touches so many of us.
God bless you, and Jem, and your whole family.

You have given me so much to think about – so many times! Definitely not fluff! I especially loved the birthday cake!

I very rarely comment, but as a fellow writer (not blog, but other "stuff"), I encourage you to continue this blog, for yourself if nothing else. I am not Catholic (though it seems most of my best friends are), but I am a Minnesota native and current Air Force wife away from my native land. š I started reading you over 3 years ago – and I stop reading blogs that I lose interest in.

Margaret, Last year I took my children with me to a prolife event. It was very quiet and peaceful We just stood on the sidewalk holding signs and said nothing. I was appalled at the people who felt the need to yell and scream to us some very unholy things even in the presence of children.(my youngest was 4) Many of these people obviously don't even have respect or love for the children that are already here. So sad! Thanks for posting! -trish

The first thought that popped into my head when I read about that picture was "a sheep among wolves" :*(
Speaking from experience here, many of those pro choice people are just misguided, misinformed, who need someone to pray for their conversion.

Repeat after me: My worth does not depend on the number of blog comments received. Especially on Fridays and weekends. š

Agreed!
I try not to look at the # of views or comments (or lack of ;-)), it takes my reason for blogging to a different place than it needs to be for me.
We love yah, girl!

I was away from my computer for the week and look what happens – I miss your birthday. Ack. Happy Birthday dear Margaret. May God Bless you with many, many more.
What a moving way to remember St. Francis's feast day every year. That picture about makes me cry. I sometimes think of the world we live in and wonder just how bad it is going to be for our kids. I need to remember to pray more every single day.
Have a wonderful week!
