Ed. Note: I am opening comments on this post because Jem just asked if he got any comments on β€œhis” post yet.

No need to have my Lenten penance be his Lenten penance. : )

Tell Jem his tomb is really cool – especially the graduated pillars that curve outward! My boys will be impressed…

This is a beautiful creation which captures the beauty of Jesus foreshadowing his own ressurection. Thank you, Jem, for bringing this story to my mind today.

Read all the time – saw this picture in my reader, and grinned BIG time! Came back today to see comments were open – so wished to say: I LOVE IT.
What a creative mind, Jem has! I love when my sons play with everyday toys and somehow express and capture their faith through/in them (the toys.) πŸ˜€

    Dear Jem:

That is one amazing tomb! You’ve helped me remember a couple of things today:

#1 The story about Lazarus reminds us that the “Jesus wept.” Those words touch my heart to the core. To know that our Lord loves us as He loved Lazarus…so much that He would cry over the loss of any one of us.

#2 Young men are infinitely creative! You did a terrific job and really captured the story with your art. I can’t wait to see what you’ll come up with next!

Nice Work! Very creative. I bet my son would like to make one just like yours!
So, what are you going to build and have your mom post next?
We can’t wait to see! πŸ™‚

Great job Jem, I too am most impressed by the step ladder roof to the right side.

How did you get it to balance? It’s great to think about Lazarus and wonder, really wonder what he knew of death adn what he felt like being resurrected…as someday we all hope to share the experience.
