from Margaret in Pennsylvania, who has not stopped coughing since her arrival in Lancaster County.
I coughed my way onto the airplane.
I coughed my way across half of the continental USA.
And I coughed my way through today’s conference.
(It was a very good conference, by the way.)
Still I cough, which is why I am here…
alone…
in my hotel room…
while my friends are all out living, laughing, and enjoying their night sans illness.
Sigh.
God is good. He got me here. All I’m saying (and I’m not complaining, mind you) is that John Grisham’s Playing for Pizza is a cheap substitute for the real people of Pennsylvania.
Sigh squared.
I’m going to go to bed now.
With much love and only a small amount of self-pity,
Typhoid Maggie

I’m so sorry you’re not feeling well. How sad to not be able to really enjoy yourself out there. But at least you are there – seeing all those fine people – and you got to go to the conference – that’s a good thing. I’m home, wondering what great stuff I’m missing.
Feel better soon!

I wish I was there – I would hang out with you in the hotel room. hugs.

My Peach is in bed coughing right now. If you were one state closer I would blame you.
They say dark chocolate helps a cough. Can’t hurt. ;o)

Awww, Maggie! š Sorry that you’re feeling so junkie! I’ll pray that you feel much better tomorrow!
Theresa says
Ooooh! I am so sorry! I would definitely hang out and watch movies with you!
Rest up and I’m sure you’ll feel fresher than ever in the morning.
Hugs from afar.

Bummer with a capital B! Are you guzzling and cleaning out? Are you taking lots of C? Not that you have this in a hotel but at home you could try a ginger/cayenne compress. In a saucepan grate some ginger and shake in some cayenne. Get it hot and put a washcloth in. CAREFULLY squeeze out the hot water and put the washcloth on your chest. It’s always helped us. Get better soon, Typhoid!
Lots of love, Heather

Ditto what Jennifer said! I’d be too shy to be social all that time.
š
Prayers for a quick recovery!

I’m sorry you’re not feeling well still. I’ve been checking your blog to see how you were doing. Would it make you feel any better to know that I didn’t make it to PA because of kidney stones? š I was very bummed. We shall suffer together. At least it won’t be so lonely. š love you!
Diane says
Um, excuse me, but I think you forgot to mention the part where you kicked us out of the room and we were forced to aimlessly wander the streets of downtown Lancaster til the wee hours of the morning so that you could get your rest.
The depths to which you will grovel to earn a few sympathy comments never cease to amaze me, Mags.
š
Love you and miss you desperately already! Praying your flights were uneventful and that you are soon feeling your big bad self.

I hope you get better soon! If I was there I’d probably stay in the room with you š – I’m not very comfortable in crowds. š
Prayers for your health,
Peace,
Jenny

Oh, Margaret, I’m so sorry. I hope you feel better soon. At least you went and it was memorable?
