A Mars/Venus Approach
I’ve been doing some work for Christina Capecchi, who is the editor of Family Foundations magazine and also a writer for The Catholic Spirit. She recently came across a 7-year-old article that had—surprise surprise—a photo of the kids and me viewing the body of a local archbishop.

Sweetheart that Christina is, she sent me an electronic copy of the article which, delighted and surprised by this long-forgotten memory, I printed and showed to my husband.
He stared at it silently for several moments, and then pushed it back across the table. “Interesting article,” he remarked.
“Um…” I was, quite frankly, flabbergasted. “Did you happen to notice the family in the photo?”
No, John admitted, he had not. He’d assumed I was giving him an article to read and that, my friend, is what he did.
Men.

That's too funny! I bet my husband would have done the same thing.
I was living in the St. Paul Diocese at the time of his passing, and I never even heard of it. However, the church nearest us was pretty progressive, so maybe they didn't think it was worth mentioning. 🙁
