This morning’s “big ticket” stocking stuffer was a beautiful, enormous candy cane that I’d ordered
Santa got from Magic Cabin. The kids have been asking all Advent to snitch the little red-and-white striped confections off the tree and I’d held off, saying, “Sorry, kids. Not until Christmas.”
They love their candy canes.
This morning when Felicity was packing a parcel of goodies for the 3-hour drive to Grandma & Grandpa’s, she dropped her precious treat from Santa and it broke into several pieces. I don’t know who was more disappointed, Felicity or her mom.
At that point big sister Cate spoke up. “That’s okay, Felicity! I’ll break mine too.” She promptly dropped her candy cane on the linoleum and obediently it shattered.
The two sisters then packed their candy pieces into two baggies.
And Christmas Day morning continued…in peace.
With blessing & love on this most holy & happy of feast days,
How sweet! Merry Christmas, Margaret!

I am so in love with anything Magic Cabin. Merry Christmas! Too sweet.
An enormous candy cane would really hit the spot right now. Ah well, I’ll settle for a cup of coffee and a hand full of mini marshmallows!
Merry Christmas, dear Margaret!
