Truth. Beauty. Holy. Week.

March 21, 2016 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Going Home, Minnesota Me 4 Comments

St. Patrick’s Day, 2016, and I was gifted unexpectedly with a trip to see my family.

Have I mentioned that I love North Dakota?

366 (Day 78) (2)

And that my sister’s home is a retreat for the soul?

366 (Day 78)

Yes, I have.

Repeatedly.

Anyway, there’s a lot more I could say about this trip but all that has to wait.

For now…and ‘til then…I guess I just wanted to say..

33 Days to Divine Mercy

Whatever this holiest of weeks might hold, be open. Be open to it; be open to Him.

In the measure we give, we will be given, so love without limits and soften up those hard hearts! And then get this book: 33 Days to Merciful Love.

I mean it.

You won’t—you WON’T—regret it.

I love, love, LOVE this book. I can’t believe how great this book is. I mean, I recently did his 33 Days to Morning Glory with the consecration on Jan 1st. And yes, that was good, but this one, almost every day, I put the book down and am like “wow, wow, WOW”. Unfortunately (or fortunately in terms of my soul), the Lord in his merciful wisdom showed me in a very profound way how so NOT merciful I was being to a friend. I say unfortunately, because while I was in the wrong and apologized, I know I hurt them badly and frankly that sucks knowing that while I thought I was in the right or even being helpful…it wasn’t. But I also fortunately, because my friend was gracious and forgiving and it has caused a lot of soul searching on my part and caused me to try to root out the log in my own eye, before I worry about some perceived speck in someone else’s eye.

The craziest part was it wasn’t until the next day when I was driving that it dawned on me that “wait, I am preparing to make the Offering to Merciful Love” and I was caught being uber unmerciful to someone and boy was that painful. Oh….I see what you did there God!”

Glad you got to go up to North Dakota! Let’s us be united in prayer as we journey towards Divine Mercy Sunday and making the Offering to Merciful Love.

I’m so happy that you were able to go visit your family. What a blessing for you!
Thank you for the reminder to be open to this week. I tend to get overwhelmed with all the lists and the things and the extras I want to/need to do, plus prepping to host Easter. Be Open. I’m going to try to remember this.

ps…this space is beautiful. It looks to bright and springy!
