…is tomorrow from 3:00 to 6:30.
I’ll be there. Will you?
This book club has been one of the best things for me this past year. The Good Earth, A Lantern in her Hand, Homer’s Odyssey…these are not books that I would have picked up on my own, but I have read–and loved–the first two and The Odyssey {gulp}is next on our list.
Good books get me going. They represent a much better way for me to use my free time than, say, endless rounds of Candy Crush or watching back episodes of Breaking Bad. In fact, I’ve been so inspired (you might even say crazy) by this challenge of reading some really great books that I joined a second book club at my kids’ school.
But that’s another post for another day.
The other members and I may not be “perfect” in getting some of the books entirely finished, but we get together regardless…we eat good food and drink tea (or wine)…and we share the sorts of ideas that fuel our dreams.
So what say you? Care to join me tomorrow?
It will be worth going out in this weather, I promise.

I think it's going to work for me to be there! Still working out the details, but hopefully I'll see you there!

Sarah, that's wonderful! I'm really happy that you made it work.

I have to check flights, but I would LOVE to be there – really wish I could because I would love to participate in a book club like this.
Enjoy it!

Well, if ever you are in the area, you WILL look me up, correct?

I'm not a well read mama…I'm just not interested. Isn't that bad? What does it say about me?
I'm so happy you have this outlet though!
minnesotamom says
It's not bad, Jamie, it's what works for you…and you know I love you just the way you are!

Jamie – It's not really my thing either. However, as my kids are getting older and reading these works, I am realizing that there are HUGE gaps in my educational background. I think this will be the kick in my pants I need to start reading more and being a good example to the children….at least that's my theory! š
So, yes, I'll be there.

I'm so glad you went!!!! I had several of my WRM group go, but my little ones are so little, and I couldn't leave them for the day. I vow to make it to the 3rd conference. I've really enjoyed the outlet that really great literature has given my days with young children. The deep conversation is good for my soul š
