Weigh-In Wednesday

Down a pound or so. Woo hoo and yeehaw and can I have some Sun Chips now?

(Yes, but only four and a half.)

(And then you must switch to broccoli.)

So I made it to Day 13 of Phase I from South Beach. Day 14 was also Gaudete Sunday and I blame the Packers and my friend Tina and those two mudslides and that Kowalski’s chocolate.

Oh, and there was also that festive pink candle.

Couldn’t do it. No siree.

And so the weight loss will slow a bit now that I’m eating more carbs, but frankly I’m okay with that. (Actually, I’m not. Actually I’d rather snap my fingers and be at my goal weight and look great on the beach. But this is Minnesota and there is no beach and nothing comes cheap and so I must be strong.)

(And okay, so technically Minnesota’s got 10,000 beaches…but it’s December right now so they don’t count.)

The good eating habits are still being established. It’s still hard when the kids are eating Snyder’s mustard-flavored pretzels; it’s hard when I’m stressed and want to eat my way out.

Baby steps.

Baby steps.

Teensy.

Tinsy.

Baby.

Steps.

Note: On deck is that promised post about sex. I received a couple of nervous emails from moms whose daughters read my blog. Not to worry! I promise to keep the discussion chaste and wouldn’t have it any other way.

(Plus my husband’s an introvert and will be editing my work.)

(That, too, is as it should be.)

Happy Wednesday! Anyone else weighing in today?

Great job! Any loss is a win. And I'm sure it was the drinks that did it. Hard alcohol has a crazy amount of calories! I freaked out when I realized how much was in a margarita. I still have them every now and then, though. Sometimes it's worth it. 🙂

Keep going and think negative!! …as in going negative on the scale. 😉

140.5. Down only a half. I blame the pink candle and our holiday visit with the inlaws. 🙂
Like Kelly said lets keep thinking negative. I'm going to try really hard to let the scale be the only place I allow any negativity. Gotta try to keep the blues away…

Thank you, Kelly, and yay, Janine! Let's both keep our spirits up and not give in to those "I've blown it" temptations.

    Are you game? Great. 🙂

I'm down 5 since starting the "Can Do" program on 11/22. The first phase is journaling. When I actually saw how much I was putting in my mouth, I cut back. Now, NOW, I have to start cutting another 400 calories out of my diet. (Yes, that is 400!) Here's hoping for another 5lbs by New Years. The program is a nice marriage of timing, portions and proportions (veggies, fruits, proteins, dairy, grains).
The down side is that since switching to whole grains, I feel funny. Allergic funny…pray I'm not allergic to any more than I already am, please????
And, I can't wait for the sex posts. One of my Christmas presents to my hubby is to go through The Love Dare again, hopefully without him knowing. He's so good to me and I, well, am so distracted and busy. I need sex posts ;-).
Keep posting Weigh-in Wednesday…some day, I might post my weight. Not right now, though.

    HELLO Margaret,

Jamie just called me and she is in the hospital for an overnight stay to monitor the baby. She wants you to write on her blog asking for prayers at this time. She sounded worried and sad missing her little 2 yr old.
