Sunday Morning Mayhem

May 22, 2011 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Minnesota Me, Motherhood, Toddler George 12 Comments

George decided his eggs needed Adobo.

“There!” he proclaimed, and I looked up from the paper.

Eggs by George

“Oh, George.” Pity the mom who gets so engrossed in the news. Pity the mom who leaves jars of spice within reach.

Eggs by George cont.

George admired his handiwork and took a big bite.

And then shuddered—visibly—from head to toddler toe.

Bridget did the exact same thing last night on Tom's popcorn!!! (only it was cheese seasoning for popcorn) She was just copying him, and looked so very proud. Tom didn't look as proud.

LOL! Looks familiar. I once poured half a jar of garlic into my beans because I thought it had a sprinkle top but it didn't. Oops!

Lucky for George that he only poured adobe on his eggs. My daughter poured black pepper in her *eye* a few months back.. oh the screams.. oh the mom guilt.

This is McGiver with the black pepper shaker. he insists, (through those shudders) that he likes it.
    sneeze, sneeze.

Are you okay from the storms yesterday?

CUTE! 🙂 My sister did that with salt in her cereal…she dumped most of the jar of salt in the bowl, then declared, "I'm done!" Mom, not wanting to waste food (and not knowing about the salt), figured she'd finish it for her and took a bite. Poor mom…she was sick for a few days!

I heard about it after the fact…otherwise I would have tried to stop her from eating it! 🙂

Keep all sorts of shaker bottles out of toddler's reaches!

So, did you try to salvage some of the Adobo for a later dish??
