In honor of today’s great feast…
You may well have already seen this, as it’s been “out there” for a couple weeks now.
Still, I cry every time I see it.
Today is one of those feasts where I feel—acutely—my shortcomings as a Christian. I want to be bolder in proclaiming Our Lord’s kingship; I want to submit; I want to know. What does it mean that He’s our king? And how should that affect us?
Today I am trying yet again to give Him my heart, my mind, my life. I bow before His gentle scepter and receive the anointing He has reserved just for me.
Christ is king. King of Kings…and Lord of Lords.
And he shall reign forever and ever.
