Don’t know if you feed readers caught the update last night, but Felicity passed her interview.
Yay! Praise God! She’s on her way!
Mrs. Prather said that she did really well and that they had a nice little chat afterwards about Felicity’s patron saint. (Hint: “Felicity” is not Felicity’s real name, as much as I love it.) “She really seems to grasp it,” Mrs. Prather assured me, and I was so relieved.
The only question Felicity missed was the one asking her to compare and contrast the sacramental theology of St. Thomas Aquinas to that of Gregory of Nyssa.
(Woops.)
(Different interview.)
Once the stress of the interview was past, the rest of the evening was devoted to pure banner-making bliss. We’re taking two tables laden with all the felt, glitter, ribbon and holy cards that a little girl could desire!
The downside of that, of course, is that one’s banner can get a little…um…crowded.
Allow my five-year-old to demonstrate.
(She covered the front and back, you see.)
Felicity showed more restraint than her younger sister, however, and I only had to stage one intervention.
Okay. Maybe two.
But she is done! She is ready! She receives Our Lord in just three days!
Thank you, everyone, for all your prayers—thank you thank you!—and please stayed tuned. There will be joyful photos galore in the days to come. I’ll even teach you how to do a roll-over, if’n you would like to learn.
All for the greater glory of God!

So you use pseudonyms for your kids? I didn't realize that. Blessings to little Felicity on her big day!

Oh, I'm so curious now, what is her real name? Felicity is so cute!

Because you mentioned it, I just wanted to share that I was pretty devastated when, after about six months of frequenting your blog, I realized that the names you use aren't really your children's names! It really shook my "Margaret in Minnesota world" and made me very curious, like the other comments, what the children's names really are. But obviously telling us would defeat the purpose 🙂 You are really Margaret, right?! 🙂
Sarah says
I'm chuckling at the other comments on your names. I'm with them, it took me a little while until I found out they were not in fact your childrens names. I still love all of them though! I think one of the other bloggers gave me a tip-off that those were not in fact, their real names! 🙂
Blessings to Felicity in her final days of preparation before the BIG day! Can't wait for photos…oh, and the roll over tutorial!

I had been using my kids real nick names and then just decided to use their real names. I still call my youngest son by my oldest son's name . . . quite often, in fact. It baffles me how quickly I forgot my youthful vow: "I will never confuse MY children's names, mum! And, by the way, I'm not Billy!" (yes, my mother called me by my broher's name).
Wonderful news about the interview. I knew you'd both make it okay!!!
