Faith & Family & Friends of the Heart

August 17, 2008 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Friends of the Heart, Minnesota Me, My Writing Elsewhere 5 Comments

Have you received the latest issue of Faith & Family yet?

I thought so!

Could you go grab it for a minute? Thanks. I’ll wait right here.

Now turn to page 57 and you will see…an article written by little old me! The name of the story is “God is Stronger than Cancer,” and it is about my dear friend Tina.

I’ve written about my friend Tina before, once or twice or maybe a hundred times.

Three of the posts that are nearest and dearest to my heart are:

  • On Losing Baby Rose but Gaining Perspective
  • A Feast of Photos
  • A Prayer to the Holy Spirit

To know Tina is to love Tina. Her story is powerful not just because she’s a cancer survivor (thanks be to God) but also because she fought the good fight with great faith.

I am honored and humbled to have shared it.

Ad Jesum per Mariam,

That was a fabulous article! And, I have to say, I *did* notice that it was written by you before you even said it. Great job!!!

I read it, too! Took my newly, non-wrinkled magazine to bed the other night and I saw your name on there and thought, hmmm, why does that sound so familiar….

Very nice article, Margaret and prayers are offered for both you and Tina. 🙂
