With a bit of text by way of explanation!
December 12th was to have been the day that my friend Tina completed 12 rounds of chemotherapy.
It was also the day that we finished a novena to Our Lady of Guadalupe for her (unbeknownst to Tina).
And so yesterday morning, for the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, we thought we might surprise her at her home with a “little” token of our love and gratitude: this beautiful concrete statue.
And after that, I shared my news!
A very happy postscript to this story is that Tina wound up finishing her treatments last month. Consequently she felt (and looked!) wonderful for her surprise. Please keep her in your prayers!
Oh, Margaret, what a beautiful day!! We will remember your dear friend Tina in our prayers. May God bless her with a return to full health – she has already been blessed by wonderful friendship!
That is beautiful, and so uplifting! Prayers for your dear friend!
This is a beautiful story. We will be praying for Tina.
What a wonderful day! Tina you are beautiful and in our prayers!
What a special day and a wonderful story! I, too, will be praying for Tina! My daughter just finished her chemo a few months ago. In the midst of it all, she gave birth to a healthy baby boy!
How inspiring to end your visit with the First Joyful Mystery! How blest Tina is to have friends like you all!
Congratulation to you, Margaret, your husband and children!
What a generous gift for a special friend. And that statue is beautiful!
What a blessed event.
God love all of you, Margaret.
Margaret,
This is so very special! What a wonderful expression of your friendship!! I am glad you shared it with us! We will keep your dear friend in our prayers!
