Grilled but not Charred

April 17, 2008 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Felicity, Minnesota Me, Motherhood 7 Comments

During last night’s bath, as I was struggling to get my girls’ long hair lathered, rinsed, and conditioned, I muttered that I couldn’t wait to give them all nice, short bobs for the summer. Felicity shrieked, a reaction that I found surprising given that she’s been asking for a haircut for quite some time, and then she said tremulously, “You’re giving me a…kebob?”

I will leave out the green peppers, I promise.

LOL … the poor little girl.

All three of your girls have such beautiful hair.

As you know I have 5 girls and there is no lack of hair in my house (well Dad is bald, but we still love him). Anyway, we have done the “bobbed” do and while it is darling on some of my girls, I couldn’t wait to grow it out with some of my other girls. When they have longer hair I can usually contain it better in a pony tail or braid. I am not sure if your girl’s are into that look, but up until a certain age my girls have been agreeable to that.

I have always had this secret desire to be a hairdresser. God must have had a little sense of humor to bestow 5 girls to me so that I would get in my hair fix 😉
