Saints & Scholars 2007

October 21, 2007 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Homeschooling, Minnesota Me, Special Events 7 Comments

Our homeschool co-op had its annual performance of Saints & Scholars last night, and the event’s photographer gave me the go-ahead to share these. (Thank you, Sir!)

The theme was “Around the World in 80 Saints: A Holy, Global Tour.” No one seemed to mind that there were actually only 40 saints represented, including a guest appearance by Pope John Paul the Great as emcee.

Blessed be God in His angels and in His saints!

A little pre-performance coaching
(Felicity & me)

St. Dominic Savio and his beloved teacher, St. John Bosco
(aka Jem & Joe)

Blessed Mother Teresa and a raggedy child from Calcutta
(aka Cate & Felicity)

If the Holy Father looks young in this photo, it is because in “real time”
he turned 13 today! Happy Birthday, Paul!

The big finale

Oh, to be a saint! To only aspire to be a saint!

Ad Jesum per Mariam,

What Margaret is omitting here is that this event happened because of her leadership!

It was fabulous, Margaret! Thanks for your hard work!

P.S. Your post proves you’re closer to humility than you may give yourself credit for…

Congrats on a successful and beautiful performance! It looks wonderful and thanks for sharing these great pictures.

And, I’m jealous … our homeschool coop would only be able to present about a dozen saints, and that’s if all three families showed up. 🙂
