April Fools!
(Oh come on, you know me. I could never be done with blogging forever.)
Besides, if it weren’t for my blogging, I wouldn’t have this resource on hand: A Topsy-Turvy Meal for April Fool’s Day. Given that it’s been six years since I made it, I have time to recover from all that work and am fool enough (ha) to want to make this meal again.
It’s not that bad, really. I just need to run to the store real quick because I’m the kind of mom that gets same-day inspirations.
Here is a link to what you need: These burgers and fries pack April Fools’ Day surprise. Basically, you need a box of cake mix, a box of brownie mix and lots & lots of tuna cans. I’m going to just dump the tuna into a tupperware because of course I haven’t been saving the cans.
Have a great day, everyone! Trust me, you don’t have to go all out to make it memorable for your kids. They just want you to make it special.
I don't think I'll be getting sprayed in the face with water today. š Both those young bucks of mine have graduated college and are now working men who don't even live here anymore. It was our most memorable April Fool's stunt. š
I'm not entirely sure what it says about us, but we just don't do April Fools.
My daughter said years ago, "I love you guys too much to play a mean joke on you."
BTW, those 'burgers' look pretty cool. š
Our April Fools happened on us…not the fun kind — a cabinet shelf full of Pyrex just fell and dumped its contents, out of no where, and the brand newly-made bowl of yogurt slipped out of the fridge onto the floor. We don't need to make mischief in our house. I hope your treats turned out. It SOUNDS fun, in theory. š
my husband's birthday is April 1. it is a tradition to make something like this. this year we made a spaghetti and meatball cake. š
