…I will have ordered a photo book for my parents in North Dakota.
These are my parents.
They are cute and sweet and loving and kind, and deserve far more photos of their grandkids than I send them.
[daughter guilt]
So I got up early this morning and sat my backside down…an hour (or so) later, and I was done! It really wasn’t that big a job and Snapfish makes it very easy, though having the photos already in my Flickr account really helped.
Do you have a Flickr account? Highly recommended if you take lots of photos.
So here’s the front cover of the photo book:
And here’s the title page which reads “Summer 2011”:
And finally, here’s the back page with Cousin It and his her sister :
There are twenty whole pages of pictures and text but I won’t subject you to all of that. All I ask is that you be proud of me because, well, that daughter guilt is some powerful stuff…
…though sending a photo book helps.
Somewhat.

We've started doing these as Christmas presents for our parents and they seem to really like them. I also made my mom a special one devoted to a Sea World trip that she took us on. They are great little books. Be sure to get a copy for yourself. My kids love to look at them.

It's a lovely idea. I'm thinking of doing one this year for my little niece who lives with her parents very far from us.

What a great idea! I made one for my youngest 1st year. It was a bit of work, but soo very worth it cuz the baby record book hasn't been my priority.

Well, I may be inspired by you!
I do not take pictures right now because my digital camera is broken, and I am truly awful about getting pictures downloaded…daughter guilt big time! Too bad our "guilt trips" don't let us save up frequent flier miles!
Also, how would you begin if all your other pictures are in huge boxes in the linen closet? Just jump in? May I make it our homeschool job for the year?
I love you REAL and I appreciate you sharing the ups and the downs. God bless Deacon, and your darling folks, too!

Good for you making the book. I too feel guilty for not keeping up with our out of town family. You have inspired me to go make a much over due phone call. Love you!
