I have really been enjoying the blog Snapshots around the World. I have known these sweet ladies for quite some time—Kim lives in Germany; Sue, Japan; and Rebecca’s in Ohio—and it’s fun to to read about the cultural differences.
Now, of course, we get to “see” them.
Snapshots around the World is, as per the blog header, “Three women, three continents, a shared love of faith, family, and beauty in small things. We share a picture every week from our corners of the world. We celebrate our lives which are so different and yet so similar.”
This week’s theme is “Underfoot”, and this is one Minnesotan’s contribution.
Alternately titled “Playground Face”.
A two-year-old boy has two extremes. The first is being under your feet and the second…being away from them. This is what happened when George was away—he took a nosedive from the van and landed on the driveway.
(This happened right after he fell off the piano bench.)
(And right before he touched the grill.)
The theme “Underfoot” is a very good one for this kid! I think I’ll keep it for, oh, the next ten years.

Okay so either this post was really lame or you guys are really busy or–worst of all–you're utterly SCANDALIZED by my neglect of Nini.
Please say the answer isn't D. and that I'm condemned to a summer of loneliness.

Ouch! Poor, sweet Georgie!!!
He looks decidedly undaunted, doesn't he?
No mother of boys would think you neglectful just for a few scrapes and bruises. Nope.
Definitely not a lame post – my excuse for not commenting sooner is that I was sleeping until a few minutes ago (since I'm 13 hours ahead of you). ;o)

Hello Margaret,
Great to see you at the conference. Sorry we couldn't chat longer. Isn't it funny how little ones keep on mov'in no matter what–poor George. I remember the scrapped up face on a whole bunch of my kiddos at 2 years of age. Cracked up about the dirt in the tub. Such fun to come home to—HEY! Answer–not D–just busy!:)

Oh my gosh – poor Georgie! (He sure looks cute all roughed up like that.)
That reminds me of my Crash at 2, going-on-three. He didn't meet a cement step or porch that he didn't fall off of, or on to, that entire summer. He was one scraped up mess for months… face, arms, knees, you name it. I'm not kidding. Now you know why I call him Crash on the blog!
Scandalized?! Neglect?! Naw – he's a B-O-Y!!
Just too busy here…
Blessings~

I was about to say he could be my Huck's twin in the scraped-up-face department, but then I remembered that *this* week, it's miss Rilla who's sporting a giant red cheekbruise.
That is one adorable little guy you've got there. I miss him, wah!!

Oh, really. Can he be any cuter?

Oh melt! Even scraped up he is just adorable!
This week it's my Sophie who is sporting a mysterious black eye. Ben has taken his share of spills but right now he just has bruised knees.

He's a tough one! Some kids just seem to have tumbles more than others. Thanks for the heads up on these blogs from around the world.
