Alert the media! This stay-at-home mom has started to care about clothing.

June 3, 2011 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Fashion Savvy, Minnesota Me, Special Events 20 Comments

Thanks to Hallie’s fashion savvy, I knew—kind of sort of in a general way—what style of dress I wanted for hosting the Catholic home education conference tonight.

What do you think?

(Please don’t tell me that you hate it. With six kids and a babysitter to shop for, I do not have time to go buy another.)

Oh, and I got the cutest little pair of peep-toe pumps to go with it!

NB: Before I started reading Betty Beguiles, I didn’t even know the term “peep-toe.” Dearest Lord, please save me from myself.

(The husband is most happy, however.)

(He likes it when the wife dresses up.)

A blessed weekend to you & yours! I hope to see you at the conference!

Love, love, love this dress! You will be gorgeous. This style is so flattering, and very feminine (hence, the patent lawyer's appreciation). And, with peep toe shoes – too cute for words!! Have fun ~

I love it, but don't worry about the comments on here. If you love and feel good about yourself in it and your hubby loves it, then go out tonight on that stage and strut your stuff. I am a stay at home mom and I love fashion. I dress nicely every day because it helps me do my job better and with more confidence.

I think it's fabulous and if Hubby likes it… what else matters? And I'm glad you didn't go with the 4 inch heels. You know I love you… all 49 inches of you! 😉

Charlotte, I am 63 inches in my new peep-toe pumps. It's a miracle!

    Dear Anonymous,

If you glance through the archives of this blog, you will see that I'm probably one of the most insecure people you'll ever meet. I'm working on that!

You make some very good observations, though, that may well merit a post of their own.

    (if I remember)

And Elizabeth M, you look LOVELY today!

I LOVE the dress! Plus, when MY 2 year old saw it, he started excitedly pointing and saying "Pwetty Dwess! Pwetty Dwess!". So you know its a winner! Haha.

Very fun dress! Have a great time tonight with all of your homeschool friends.

I like what other anonymous said about dressing her best everyday. That actually makes sense to me. Will have to start doing that too.

    Love all the comments.

Very flattering cut and style! I hope to see a picture of dashing host couple … later, of course. Praying for your intentions and can't wait to see your post-conference posts and pictures. Wish I was there, but it's gorgeous here, finally! Hope the weekend is a beautiful in the cities.

I bet you have to have cute toes to wear peep toe shoes. My man sized toes probably aren't cute enough. Frankly… nothing looks cute in snowboard size. On the plus side, I have great balance!

Very cute dress! Still trying to figure out what I will wear tomorrow that is cute, comfortable and cool. Glad it is not going to be 90! Hope to run into you at the conference. God bless!

I LOVE the dress, and peep-toe shoes would be just perfect!

Btw, I have big feet and long, ungainly toes, but I love peep-toes bc it makes even my feet cute. Red toenail polish (the "American pedicure") is like magic with a peep-toe!

    Have a great time! 😉
