Look who’s two!

May 24, 2011 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Gratitude, Minnesota Me, New Baby, Toddler George 16 Comments

Two! I

(We’re assuming he’ll grow into that ball.)

Happy birthday, Toddler George!

And to everyone who’s been along for the ride since we first announced this pregnancy…thank you. Thank you for praying me through the uncertainty, and thank you for praying him into this world!

We owe you, my friends.

Big time.

PS. I don’t have time to write a full-fledged birthday post today because I’m too busy being with my little Nini—indeed, too busy being busy! Can you relate? It’s a crazy busy time of my motherhood right now—as crazy intense as it ever will be—and yet, I wouldn’t miss it for the world.

Though I will stop to take photos from time to time.

That much I am sure of.

Updated at 4:00 p.m. (CST) to add: Nor are we too busy to eat lots of ice cream!

Look who's two! II

Gratuitous Birthday Shot
(with the bonus bare tummy, ’cause it’s so yummy)

Evidently.

(Hey, I gotta keep up with the claims made on my sidebar! Or change my sidebar. Or something.)

Happy Birthday, Sweet Georgie Peorgie! You can kiss these girls and we won't cry, I promise! Since we aren't there, kiss your momma instead. One from you and one from us!

    Love,
Your Texas friends, especially Sunshine, your birthday buddy!

I know! Cate asked, "Mom, how did you get him to smile like that?"

    I did nothing!

    (Okay, I said, "Say cheese.")

    Cheese = cheesy, apparently. 🙂

I have been a rarely commenting reader now for years (yes, its true. I confess). But I remember long ago reading your post announcing the pregnancy, and remember all the prayers I said and all the times I checked back in secretly on you all. Your big baby (I refuse to call my 2 year old a big boy, he is my baby, so I'm giving you the same courtesy) is precious and adorable and I have so enjoyed seeing him grow. He seems to be such a blessing to your entire family. Happy Birthday sweet George! May you grow up in the knowledge and love of Christ, and be a blessing to others by sharing the gift of Christ with those you meet in this life.
