Odds & Ends on a Monday

September 20, 2010 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Anecdotal, Minnesota Me 6 Comments

This post is meant to be a fast & friendly, lighthearted read so that you can get back to your work without delay.

Aren’t I considerate?

Plus I can hear George getting into the guinea pig’s kibble. Best get my bottom off the computer and go Check It Out.

First, though, a couple of cute kid stories for you because if I don’t write them down I Will Forget!

You Write Yours Down too, I know.

And what’s up with me and these Random Caps?

Cute Kid Story #1:

Felicity spent the day at a friend’s yesterday. I asked her what she had for lunch (having gone home with my friend and her family after Mass) and she said she didn’t have lunch, just breakfast.

Avila III
Hi from Felicity!

“That’s called brunch,” big sister Cate informed her.

“Oh yeah.”

She told me it was a BIG meal—a big yummy meal of waffles (“with lots of toppings!”) and eggs and sausage. A big yummy meal indeed, I thought! Why wasn’t I invited?

Angela had been silent up until that point, soaking in her sister’s recollection. “I would like to be you, Felicity,” she said with some envy, then added, “Except for your wart.”

Cute Kid Story #2:

This not a story at all but rather, an observation.

Cate’s observation.

About her brother.

Nee Nee Face

“Oh my goodness,” she said with a squeal. “He just touches my heart!”

I think…perhaps…I know what she means.

But then again I’m biased.

Your reports of what "Angela" says always crack me up.

    Can't wait till she's about, oh, 13.
