When it comes to Easter…

April 5, 2010 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Living Liturgically, Minnesota Me, Special Events 18 Comments

There are church photos:

Easter 2010 XIV

And there are church photos:

Easter 2010 III

I like them both.

Here’s a shot outside the church:

Easter 2010 I

It’s one of approximately 302 that I took.

Easter 2010 II

(I have a ten-year-old son, you see.)

(You understand.)

I also have a 12-year-old son.

Easter IV copy

I like to embarrass him in public and plan to keep it up until he’s 21 or so.

Easter 2010 V copy

At which time I figure he’ll pay me back.

Now I’d like to tell you about our Easter miracle. You may not believe in miracles, but you will when I am finished. Are you ready? Here we go.

Not only did we get our children to the church by 8:15 so that they could sing in the choir, we also made sure that they were dressed!

And that, my friend, is our Easter miracle.

You may pause to get a tissue.

As I was saying…

When it comes to Easter, I like to take photos. I take them both in the church and outside of it…

Easter 2010 VII

…because there is so much cuteness I can hardly stand it.

Easter 2010 VIII

See what I mean? Too. Much. Cuteness.

(If you don’t mind me saying so.)

(Hey, I didn’t make that outfit! Old Navy did.)

Easter 2010 VI

More cuteness.

Easter 2010 XV

Even more cuteness.

Easter 2010 XVI

And okay, a wee bit more.

Should I bring this post to a much-needed close now? I apologize that it’s so long. It’s just that when it comes to Easter, I can’t help but take a ton of photos…

Easter 2010 XIII

and I know—I just know—that I’m not alone in this.

Easter 2010 XII

Our joy, you see, has been made complete.

Happy Easter Monday!

Beautiful photos! AS for your son waiting until he is 21 to start embarassing you back… oh, no. It starts much earlier than that 🙂

    Happy Easter!

My girls had the same Easter dresses — with white sweaters! And they weren't too cold this year in MN!

    Happy Easter!

I'm so impressed with the beautifully dressed children, especially the matching dresses! And lots of photos! I didn't take a Single. One. 🙁

My fav. photo…the one in front of the church with middle daughter putting her little foot back. I love those little details.

    Wonderful PICS!

Yeah, they are sort of the epitome of cuteness. Love the hats, love the baby, love everything.

Margaret is also responsible for taking pictures of MY family after Mass, for which my in-laws are thankful. 🙂

I LOVE all the beautiful pics, Mags, and the creative commentary too. I'm warning you though…if I ever make it back up to MN, I may accidentally pack Little Prince Charming into my suitcase. Adorable.

Easter Blessings to your beautiful family!

One day, little girls will no longer want to wear matching dresses. So happy to see you milking the cuteness factor for as long as possible.

And that baby…no, not safe to turn your back if I'm around. I'd take him home in a heartbeat.
