Snow & Cold in Minnesota

Subtitled: If you can’t beat it, join it.

So I wasn’t exactly being truthful when I said that I was outside for five minutes this weekend.

January VI

In truth, I was outside for ten.

January V

Long enough to…oh…take a few ph0tos of the kids and all.

It’s a blogging thing.

January IX

This is Cate’s “The Hills are Alive with the Sound of Music” face. She gets it every time she looks at her baby brother, which is pretty sweet.

That is, until she wakes the kid up with her exclaiming.

And then it’s annoying.

January VIII

In general, Anthony puts up with a lot from Cate, because she’s the kind of fun-loving big sister who talks nonstop while happily pulling you up a hill.

January VII

It’s slow going because the hills in Minnesota are very, very steep.

Eventually you get there.

January XI

You know how in Wii games you have certain characters that keep popping up along the path to harass you?

January XII

This is Ellie the In-Your-Face Mii. She gets shooed away a lot by kids who are trying to pull their sleds.

January X

This is Cate the Science Teacher, (not to be confused with Sid the Science Kid). She is giving Anthony his First Lesson Ever on the properties of snow.

Doesn’t he look stimulated?

Doesn’t he look like he’s having fun?

In truth, he is thinking “My bum is really cold right now.”

January III

Problem solved. The Arms of My Big Sister = No More Cold Bum for Me

January XIII

That little cold nose is another story.

Ever your honest (for the most part) blogger, I am

So cute! That baby boy is all smiles! My kids want snow so badly… it has been all around us, but none for us (Charlotte, NC area). I guess we'll keep hoping.

    Loved the pictures! JMJ

It certainly was cold in Minnesota this past weekend wasn't it?

Yes, join 'it' and 'make the most of it'! I could not bear to live in a place without seasons. Today was a wintery white day … the air seemed frosted along with the trees & shrubs.

I feel like a broken record: That baby is just so cute!!! I haven't been brave enough to take my boy out in the snow for a photo shoot. You make me want to rethink that.

Darling! Your family is simply darling beyond description!

Speaking of the annoying Wii characters the bother you when you're playing on the Wii. My kids created a Michael Jackson one (long before he died; this is our third year w/ the Wii) and I swear, MJ is hassling me whilst I "ride" my bike around the island on Wii Fit all.the.time. He pops up unexpectedly. It's kinda freaky.
