Or, in this case, a good stirring version of “O Holy Night.”
I am totally ready for another blogging break. Mind, I do not mean another long month’s worth of silence. No, I mean plopping down gratefully at the computer to take a well-earned break from the baking, the wrapping, and the newsletter-writing. (Our newsletter is always an Epiphany Edition. We time it to arrive around the same time as the Wise Men.)
In short, I mean that I am ready to return to blogging. (Ya think?)
Happy last week of Advent, friends! We are close, so close to the birth of our Lord and to celebrating not just the reason for the season but really, the reason for everything. At this point, I figure, what’s done is done and what isn’t, doesn’t matter.
Okay, so I’m lying about that last part. It does indeed matter and I still have a fair share of baking & wrapping & mailing to do. You know, though, if it doesn’t arrive by Christmas Day it’s okay. It really is. Christmas is a season—A season! A whole season!—and I hope that the people in my life know that.
They can shake their heads at me all they like. As long as they know that I love them and that I’m trying, I’ll be good to go.
Speaking of which, I’d better go. I have 4 trays of Santa’s Surprises to make, five Christmas Eve outfits to assemble, and three packages to wrap and send to Northern Minnesota; Bismarck, North Dakota; and Anchorage, Alaska. (And I ask you: apart from their zip codes, are these places any different? You would think that my friends could just pick one bitterly cold destination and settle there. It would certainly make my life a lot easier.)
You see how I fill my days with useless musings? Hey, it beats eating all the cookie dough!
With love & blessings & a great big grin, I am
PS. Baby is fine. : )

Thanks for popping in to let us know everything is fine. 🙂 It seems like Advent has flown by this year – other than the fact that snow is keeping us from getting everything done that we needed to do. I’m thankful Christmas is an entire season long — I’m going to need the whole season to celebrate it properly! 🙂

Thank you for the PS. I was worried.
I am also still working on getting Christmas gifts out. I decided to let the stress go by extending my deadline to Epiphany.
Oh, and I’m doing good if my cards are out before February.
