If only I hadn’t moved!

February 2, 2008 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Current Affairs, Family Fun, Minnesota Me, Travel, Tributes 3 Comments

…I would be the “Person of the Week,” as chosen by ABC News.

Go, North Dakota! Having spent half my life as a little girl on this prairie, (and given that I still go home bi-annually), I urge you to watch this video.

Because frankly, my friend, you need to know the truth.

The Badlands are beautiful;

The skyline is flat but so expansive;

And my sisters—there are four of them, and three live in North Dakota—are all amazing cooks.

(Make sure you call first.)

    See!!!!! We aren’t the only ones!!!!

    Texans always get a bad rap for being stubbornly proud of our state! Way to go North Dakotans!!!! Thanks for sharing this, Margaret. Husband and I enjoyed it very much.

    How cool! I remember crying when I saw the beauty of the ND badlands for the first time!

    I grew up in central SD (east river) and I think they have the same reputation. I’ve never been to the ND badlands, but lived near the SD badlands for a while and they are beautiful. Nice job North Dakotans for sticking up for yourselves.
