Speaking of Praying…

January 23, 2008 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Minnesota Me, odds and ends, Totally Irrelevant Information 12 Comments

…and on a much lighter note…

When I requested this book at my library, (isn’t it nice that I own a library?), I was promptly stuck into a queue of about 200 people. This morning I see that my time has come. This is it! The moment they’ve made me wait months for!

Italy, India, & Indonesia…here I come. Will I be more yin-yangy when I return? Or will I just be well-fed?

The other book I am still waiting on is I am America (And So Can You!), which just goes to show you that I’m totally bipolar in my choice of reading. It must be winter…

200 people? Wow. You are a patient gal! You will have to tell us how you like it!

Patience had nothing to do with it, Matilda. I am a classic “SHE” (sidetracked home executive). I reserved the book…and promptly forgot about it! 😉

Oh, I will be eager to hear what you think of the first book, Margaret! I’ve been curious about it! (Such a pretty cover, too, lol.) 🙂

My Bill received the Colbert book (audio version) for Christmas, but he is still slogging his way through Harry Potter 7 before moving on. 🙂

    Enjoy!

I am almost finished with I am America. I have to take it slowly so as not to wake the kids with my bursts of giggling at late hours…

LOL! I loved the SHE comment. That’s great. I’ll have to remember that. I think I’m still on the waiting list for Come Be My Light…I’ll have to check on that. Perhaps they gave up my spot considering I never return things on time and still have dues to pay..mmmm.

I’d love to hear what you think about the book once you’re done with it. I read it right before the holidays and haven’t had a chance to talk about it with anyone yet.

    Happy Reading!

I agree with Jennifer on the I AM AMERICA book. I listened to it on CD (Stephen narrates) while having some quiet moments in the car … hard to imagine that I had all that time to myself.

That book was HORRIBLE! I managed to read the whole thing, but barely. I kept thinking it surely had to get better. It didn’t.
