Silent Night

December 19, 2007 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Living Liturgically, Minnesota Me, Prayer, Spiritual Growth 5 Comments

When I asked Our Lord what He wanted from me for Christmas, He responded, “I want your blog.”

Consequently I am going to be deleting the entirety of its contents on December 25th.

I’m kidding! That’s not what He meant, you know.

I am going to take a weeklong break, however. Prepare my heart and that sort of thing. I need to be as quiet as possible and listen—really listen—to what the readings of the Church are saying as well as to what God is whispering in the events of my own family.

(Besides “Finish the gift-wrapping.” Or “I have no idea what to get John’s father.”)

I owe Our Lord so much that on His birthday I want to be ready.

Red & green balloons or gold & silver?

I’ll see what the stillness of my soul reveals.

Ad Jesum per Mariam,

Merry Christmas to you and your family. Looking forward to when you can post again – please write more about your dog – anything new? I love to read about the funny puppy running amoke in the Margaret household – does that pooch stay away from your tree?
