Head’s Up

August 30, 2007 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Blogging, Minnesota Me 10 Comments

Following the promptings of my heart and the (rather strong) encouragement of my husband, I will be switching over to pseudonyms for my children.

In my top menu bar is a button titled “About Us”. You can meet the new cast of characters there.

Now, that is going to be hard to get used to!! I totally understand, as I’m sure everyone will. Will you only be showing the backs of their heads too? I will probably only remember the Angela, since our “baby” is Angela too! Great names kids!!

PS I tried to call you this week, but got a busy signal, then time got away and I never tried again!! You are on my mind though and hopefully soon we can talk!

I have faith in you, Jamie. It will take some adjustment on my part as well.

And as far as your PS. is concerned, if at first you don’t succeed… 🙂

Good luck! I can’t keep track of my kids real names, let alone a set of fake ones!

I have never been so clever as to make up names. My girls are {e}, {k}, {m}, {b} or {r}, and {c}. Pretty much that is the first initial of their first names.

I will say that the made up “C” name you came up with is one of the actual names of my children (or the nickname).

I do post face shots, but I think that it is probably a good idea to not totally reveal all aspects of our children (names, ages, etc.)

I like your family description and thoughts about homeschooling. Every day is a new day …
Yesterday I may not have thought I would homeschool.
    Today I homeschool some
    and
    Tomorrow WHO KNOWS? Just God.

So, are you going back through all your posts and changing names, just recent ones, or is there a short-cut “find and replace” that you can do?

I’ll change ’em as I’m able, Stephanie, which means that all you Blogliners can expect an onslaught! Sorry about that…

I hope that nothing creepy happened to precipitate this change!

Nope, thanks be to God. Just the Holy Spirit speaking to me through the gentle promptings of my husband. He’s been asking me to switch over for some time now.
