Birthday Blessings

August 19, 2007 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Blogging, Gratitude, Minnesota Me, Special Events 4 Comments

A beautiful friend has a birthday today!

Happy Birthday, Jennie! 35 years young, huh? Well, I’ve got you beat.

You are an amazing mom and a very brave wife. On days when I am feeling sorry for myself, I think of you…and I think of your husband in Iraq…and I find the courage to be braver.

Thank you for the gift of you, and for the funny, touching, photo-filled heirloom that is your blog. You are not an imaginary friend, my friend. You are as real as real gets, and–spoiler alert: for any guy reading this post today, here comes the mushy bit–I love you.

**As this post was going “to press” this morning, it came to my attention that another beautiful, blogging mom has a birthday. The heavens were good to the blogosphere this day. Happy Birthday, Katherine!

Thank you so much, my dear Margaret! I love you, too, you know. People don’t say that enough, do they?

It’s also my little girl’s fourth birthday, today! Looks like she’s in good company.

Thank you so much, Margaret. You brought a huge smile to my face . And I too turned 35 today…officially in my mid-30’s. I’m not quite sure I’m liking that, but I can’t complain about the blessings of these years. 🙂

    Big hug from Texas.
