….sent your way with love this Sunday!
- I had no idea my review made such an impression! Fancy Nancy is number 4 on the New York Times Best Seller list. (Huge wink to be inserted here.)
- A copy of my baptismal certificate arrived, to my delight! Now isn’t this sweet: I was just a wee 1-week-old baby when I was baptized! Hmm, the date did throw me off a bit. October 9th? Whose feast is that? It looks like St. Denis (and companions) and St. John Leonardi are on their way to becoming my brand new friends! (PS. If you missed this post the first time around, go back and read Karen E’s comment. I got a tremendous kick out of it.)
- Finally, the Gospel today is based on the miracle of the wedding feast at Cana. To print out a cute coloring page for your younger children, go here.
Have a blessed day!

Thanks for the coloring page idea. I’m glad you received your baptismal certificate. Nothing wrong with getting to know a few more saints!

We got our “Fancy Nancy” book yesterday, which was perfect timing, we had planned on a tea party with tea and cookies and we wore dress-up clothes and read our new book. Then after reading it we kept saying “Daaarling”!
It is a great book, I LOVED the ending! Thank you. Have a wonderful Sunday!

Today is my baptism day. No big saints for me either. Thanks for reminding me about my new little-known friends.

St Denis is a great saint! Patron saint of Paris and one of the 14 holy helpers (against headaches, pretty useful stuff!). Random fact: his feast is always listed in the Cambridge University diary so I think he has something to do with universities. Also my son’s middle name 🙂

Margaret,
I love St. Denis! (one of my sons has “Denis” in his name). St. Denis was martyred, had his head chopped off, and then picked up his head and carried it through the streets of the town (so the legend goes). One of these years that’s going to make a COOL All Saints Day costume! We’ll be thinking of you next time we celebrate St. Denis Day!
Love,
Jane
