Maid Marian

Beautiful and strong-willed, Lady Marian Fitzwalter is the lady love of the dashing outlaw, Robin Hood. She is skilled with a bow, but can match the manners of any lady of the Queen. She waits earnestly for the day when King Richard will return and wed her to Robin.

I was Anne Shirley! : ) The funny thing is that we are reading it aloud right now!

What fun! I was Wendy Darling! Very appropriate, as Barrie’s Peter Pan is one of my children’s favorite read-alouds.

    My Lady Marian,
I’m betting Fancy Nancy was not included among Classic Heroines…just give her a few more years, right?! By the way, are you the Margaret in the dedication?! The book tip came in handy when an uncle asked for gift ideas–Thanks! I’ll bet the author and illustrator were also grateful for the boost on the Best Sellers list!!

    I’m Anne Shirley…

Look at your page, though…Marian’s head is tipped just like yours in your picture next to it. Too cute.

I always knew you were royalty!

I edged out Maid Marian in favor of Jane E. by one point. Don’t get me wrong; I loved the book and read it half a dozen times, but I guess I wanted to be a little less, well, plain. I guess my mikddle name was well chosen!
