I had to laugh this past weekend when Karen E. posted an apology. She is switching to Beta Blogger and all of her old posts kept turning up in our “Bloglines” as brand new.
Which is not to say we mind re-reading Karen’s work, ever. Right, Alice? In fact, Alice (not surprisingly) then posted a link to Karen’s “Divine Fire” which was originally posted in May of this year.
Which in turn inspired me…
…to tag another blogger with a link to a favorite post. My heart is soft & squishy—and many of your stories make indelible impressions! They make me laugh and they make me cry. They always make my day a wee bit better for having “taken a break” at the computer.
Who can forget, for example, the parking lot vomit incident, with Lissa’s daughter repeating in all earnestness, “When? When will this be funny, Momma?”
Or the candy canes stuck to Danielle’s dog’s rear end?
I don’t even have to look those posts up to remember them. They are classics.
Here, though, is the post that I’d like you to visit: Alice’s “A Cornucopia,” originally posted last January. Her reflection on a busy mom’s day will bring a lump to your throat, that’s certain, but my goodness! How we can relate to that feeling (guilt-ridden and unhelpful as it is) of being spread far too thin!
How about the rest of you? Do you have a favorite from a year or so ago? I’m sure the rest of us would like to (re?)read it!

I was simply stunned at the photos of Alice’s azaleas this past spring. And Lissa’s Monarchs. And Margaret’s MS dinner story was wonderful! 🙂

I LOVED the Cornucupia story!! Thank you for the link. Yes it did bring tears to my eyes in the end! SO many days I say when the kids are in bed after quick kisses/hugs and prayers, “I wish there were 4 more hours in a day!” It was good to see this happens to others!

You’re so kind, Margaret. Thank you! And I agree with you about Alice’s post … I remember that one vividly. So beautiful, as is Alice herself.

I feel as though you posted the link to Alice’s story just for me today (after the e-mail that I sent to you). Thank you! Hope you got your gift.
