Download Netflix for Holiday Road Trips: the Ultimate Travel Hack

December 23, 2017 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: #StreamTeam, Netflix, Reviews Leave a Comment

This post is sponsored by Netflix and their incredibly helpful and awesome collection of  TV shows and movies that you can download and watch on the go.

My 8-year-old greets me each morning with a countdown: “Only ‘x’ more days until Christmas, Mom!” For him, this happy feast couldn’t come fast enough.

For me, however? I could use another week (or three) to get ready! 😛

I know you moms and dads can relate…so with that said, and with only TWO more days until Christmas (!), I’ll keep this brief.

It’s Netflix for the win on those long, cooped-up car trips!

Download Netflix II

Do you have little kids that make holiday travel a challenge? You may or may not have thought of this already, but a couple of well-timed downloads…

Pack Your Phone - Little Kid

…can make all the difference between getting to Grandma’s with all of your happy family in tow and having to, oh…I don’t know…accidentally “forgetting” the 5-year-old at the rest stop.

(Which has happened, by the way, and is one of my husband’s favorite stories to tell. Poor Auntie Megan.)

Anyway, here’s what you need to do to stash a few family favorites on the “pad”.

And this is what they’ll look like watching Stranger Things enroute:

There is a 15-year-old under there, I assure you.

I think.

Anyway, that’s my uber-quick advice.  Books on CD are a family favorite too, but sometimes there’s someone that just needs a break. In a family our size, it happens.

A lot.

Have a blessed & beautiful Christmas, everyone! May the peace that He brings be yours…and mine. ♥
