Four.

January 25, 2014 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: George, Gratitude, Minnesota Me, Motherhood 14 Comments

George, this morning: Are the beenanas ripe?

Me, in response: Yes, the “beenanas” are ripe. Would you like one?

George: Yup.

George, passing by the computer as I typed this post: I didn’t know you could spell “four” with letters!

Me: {heart melting}

Do you have a 4-year-old? Are they not awesome?   I think when it comes to “being like children”, Jesus was talking about 4-year-olds.

    I love George! And I love your blog. If you ever have doubts about it, please know that it was my consolation today and many other days to read about you and your dear family. I grew up in Wisconsin, so we're practically related, ya know.

    Joseph will be 4 next month. He is our baby and probably will always be given hubby and my age. I just love 4 year olds too.

    Yes! Turning 5 in just a few days. I get the best quotes from him. Love four!

    Oof, 4 has been the worst for us by far… But I think that it's more because my husband and I are ridiculously stubborn and have created a child who is twice as stubborn as both of us than because of the age… His highs are high, but his lows are incredibly, incredibly low!

    What a cutie, he looks just like you doesn't he. My favorite is when my kids create their own new words, but the whole "I didn't know you could spell it, is priceless"

    4 is always my favorite. I am loving having a 4 year old again. I think, besides not having babies, not having 4 year olds anymore will be the hardest thing about getting old (er)….

    Honestly? I am generally not a fan of 4 year olds. I'll take a room of 2 year olds over 4 year olds any day…or at least *my* four year olds. For us that is the age of defiance and tantrums and drama usually with a healthy dose of tattling thrown in.

    Good morning, Margaret! Just a quick note to let you know how much your blog has been a bright spot in my life over the years! If it wasn't for blogging, I never would have met you in the doctor's office waiting room—remember that?! I'm having a little fun over at my blog this morning by nominating you for the Sunshine Award, which is passed on by bloggers to other bloggers who "positively and creatively inspire others in the blogospere." Check it out! You don't have to do the 10 things about yourself and nominations, of course, unless you want to on this frigid day … I just wanted you to know that I think you're great! Stay warm!!

    He is so adorable! I have a four-year-old, too, and he melts me everyday. Three was rough for him, but there is just something about four…. I almost want to wake him up right now to squeeze him (almost!).
