MCHEC: You’re going, right?!

April 26, 2013 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Homeschooling, Minnesohta, Minnesota Me, Special Events 16 Comments

I could go on and on about how much I love the Minnesota Catholic Home Education Conference & Curriculum fair.

Wait a minute. I have.

  • Can there ever be too many babies? (MCHEC 2007)
  • All in the Name of Good Reporting (MCHEC 2007)
  • Minnesota Catholic Home Education Conference: the 2008 Edition
  • Catholic Home Educators Unite (MCHEC 2010)
  • Conference Preview (MCHEC 2011)
    • The 14th Annual Minnesota Catholic Home Education Conference (MCHEC 2012)

Have you registered yet? That is not a rhetorical question, by the way;  I really do want to know! (How else can I know to look for you?)

In addition to the sheer goodness of all those inspiring speakers, (Father Michael Schmitz! He rocks!) interesting workshops, happy home educators and books, books, BOOKS…

There will also be a blogger’s gathering hosted by yours truly!

(I’ll be the short one with the tall cup of coffee.)

Register for the conference HERE.  Do it now rather than after May 9th because wouldn’t you rather spend that extra $10.00 on books?

    MCHEC. You’re going.

    Right?

Look for me (and hubby)!! I'll be looking for you and little Francis 🙂 We may only hit up Saturday, but I will be at the bloggers gathering if we are there Friday. Woohoo!
There are so many reasons to attend the conference, but the social aspect is part of my motivation too. lol.
I'm even contemplating not really buying anything and just looking. I just don't know what i want to do next year. So many ideas….eek!
Looking forward to seeing your loveliness there!

I'm going! And bringing my hubby for the very first time–so exciting!

PS: Love Fr. Mike Schmitz. I'm blessed to get to hear his homilies regularly, and they are always both funny and inspiring.–Diane

Oh my goodness, I'm not a homeschooler or anywhere near MN but to meet you and Sarah would be a dream come true! Maybe we could switch to homeschooling and move before the conference 😉

You can attend even if you don't homeschool! One does not have to be a certified, card carrying homeschooler. 🙂
You might find the presentations a bit dull, however, but the Keynote address still pertains. Just sayin'…

I'm really looking forward to this year. My husband is coming too to hear Fr. Schmitz. I especially want to hear Shelly Lichty's talk! (she's a dear friend) It's so fun to see people you only see at the conference!

My goal is to get there one year as a vendor, or even a speaker 🙂 It looks like such a wonderful conference!

Really, really hope to! It's not practical to go at all, as we are leaving for a cross-country trip after an ordination that Sunday, but, maybe….if I can get my you-know-what together beforehand.
Plus, I wouldn't have a babe with me (well, not in my arms) this time so I could be available to steal, I mean, borrow, Er….hold other baby's so other Mom's can have a break.
And…Fr.Mike is just awesome. I gave hima hard time for not disclosing the information to the area homeschoolers up here that he was the keynote. Maybe he's afraid we'll bring "We like Mike" signs or something…..hmm….. 🙂
Anyway, I would love to go, see you again, meet baby Francis, and make a ridiculous face for the sake of your blog update of the conference.

I am planning to be at the conference! Not sure I'll be at the blog meeting, but that would be fun. I'm driving with a few familiar faces and possibly a new friend who hasn' been to the conference before. Of course, baby will be along for the trip…
