Boys, Baseball and…Benatar?

July 22, 2011 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Internet Stuff, Minnesota Me, Sports Stuff 12 Comments

Am staring bleary-eyed at the calendar this morning: two baseball games this afternoon and four more tomorrow…one boy to Wisconsin (and back) to play baseball last night–they won, yay–and another boy coming home from Boy Scout camp in Wisconsin this morning–thank you, Honey, for going to get him–so that (you guessed it!) he can play more baseball!

It’s not love that is the battlefield. It’s that dusty ball park down the road.

HT for this hiLARious video: my niece Princess Dani who turns 29 today. (mild language warning) Happy Birthday, Dani! I can remember turning 29…and I can remember turning 19 and ratting the heck out of my hair for my passport photo.

I’m surprised they let me out of the country.

Happy Friday, everyone. I hope you have a great weekend and that you have fun and stay hydrated and that your team wins! Unless, of course, you’re playing against us…in which case, better luck next time!

Oh, the hubris. You would think I were still 19 or something.

So how much Aquanet did you go through as a teen? I'm sure my dad wishes he had bought stock. Yeah, that hole in the ozone grew exponentially during the 80's! I love those literal videos! Have you seen the one for Total Eclipse of the Heart?

Oh dear. There's a whole series of literal videos? And before this morning I had never even heard of them?

I think I need to get out of the house more.

Or maybe I'm not staying home enough?

Whatever the case, I think that my free time this weekend has been determined.

I WOULD HAVE LOVED hair like that. Mine is so thin and anytime I tried to get it poofy…well it looked like a thing poofy mess.

    AWESOME photo!

OH, ho, ho that was awesome! I don't have enough guts to publish my graduation pics or any of my 80's early 90's pics.

Will consider that challenge, darlin'. It would require digging through my beloved's old photojournalism stuff, but after a margarita or two I could be convinced. šŸ˜‰

Of course the Mac is in the shop so it might be a few days…
