It’s my party…

December 30, 2010 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Just Me, Minnesota Me 7 Comments

And I realize that, yes, it is my prerogative to cry if I want to.

But…why?

Why did I decide to watch Steel Magnolias today?

For the FIRST TIME?!!

Because I could, I guess.

Drat that Netflix.

Updated to add: Okay, so evidently I have seen this before because that scene at the end where Ouiser makes the little boy cry was very familiar. Still. What was I thinking?

And in other news? My daughter has made my husband and me a “Love” cake. Isn’t that sweet? I told her that I prefer a “Love” cake to a “Divorce” cake, and she quipped, “Yep. In that case I’d have to change the pink frosting to black.”

I’m sorry. She appears to have my sense of humor.

That is THE quintessential chick flick. I refuse to believe that you have never seen it before!

One of my favorite lines: I have a strict policy that nobody cries alone in my presence.

Love you (more than my luggage)!

I have never seen Steele Magnolias. Cross my heart and hope to die. Someday I will.
I was cracking up with that comment from your daughter ! She certainly DOES have our sense of humor!

Oooh, not the best anniversary movie. Especially if you watched it alone. :~( Topped only by One True Thing — do not watch it. Do.not.watch.it.
