You’re seeing a theme in these blog post titles, I’ll bet. Well, if this week is a week among weeks liturgically, then this month is even more a month among months.
October is dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary. What could be more beautiful? What could be more needed?
I can think of at least a dozen heartfelt intentions that I have at the moment, intentions that include:
- A dear friend’s husband who just lost his job;
- A beloved sister who just got a new job (thanks to our prayers, she said);
- A father from our parish who has a brain tumor;
- And a daughter who’s making her First Holy Communion this year! (That’d be our Felicity.)
October is easily my favorite month. I was born in the month of October for one thing [grin] but more importantly, I know that the graces are there for the taking, in abundance, if only we ask Our Lady.
I love the song by Chris Rice called “Come to Jesus.”
To this I add, go to Mary first.
She will lead you the rest of the way.

Would you add to your prayer list a son who is struggling with serious depression?

We had Come to Jesus sung at Daniel's baptism.
I'm sorry I missed the shot post. I would have had something to say, but I honor that you are done with that subject.

I found the link to when I was spouting off about shots this spring. You can choose to read it if you wish.
