Progress Report

April 10, 2008 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Gratitude, Minnesota Me, Pregnancy 22 Comments

I’ve just come from the clinic where I saw the results of Monday’s blood draw. My levels are rising nicely! My doctor showed me the figures and smiled warmly at me, while meanwhile I blinked confusedly. “I’m sorry,” I apologized. “I have no idea what those mean.”

She laughed and said, “The numbers have gone up…and that’s a good thing.”

Well, thanks be to God for blessings big and small and (in this case)
totally awesome!

*Ed. Note: It’s occurred to me that some of you may not know what I’m talking about. I go to the clinic twice a week to receive a shot of progesterone. It is believed (by my doctor and many others) that such supplements will help a woman who has miscarried to carry her next baby to term. The levels on my chart refer to an increase of progesterone. If the baby were not thriving, the numbers would go down.

God is Good!! Maybe what you are craving to eat is exactly what Baby needs. No experience in this area (making babies). Lots of experience in emotional eating. But I’m tall and I wear very loose clothes. Love in Christ and prayers. lois

Lots of prayers here from the UK. I had those injections with my last two pregnancies – they are not fun but the end results are so worth it

YES! Many years ago I had shots with my 5th & 6th pregnancies after 3 miscarriages in a row. We determined that my “lack” was sex related. I never had difficulty with girls. But the shots got me my two boys. The girls made it without shots.
