Today I am thinking about two infants.
I am thinking about the One in this image, hidden and needed by the world.
And I am thinking about this infant, also hidden and also neededby five children and their parents.
I am nine weeks’ pregnant today!
Since discovering this surprise blessing on my husband’s birthday one month ago, we have been into the clinic twice weekly for Mama’s progesterone shot (my levels look great, thanks be to God) and we have seen via ultrasound the above testament to the beautiful, beating heart within me.
While I will continue to hold my breath until the end, I can no longer wait to introduce you to this little one that has so unexpectedly graced our lives. We affectionately refer to him or her as “Baby Y,” and your prayers for our family would be very much appreciated.
Happy Feast of the Annunciation! May it be done to us according to His Word.

Congratulations to you and your family. Like you we are expecting and have reached 9 weeks. With 4 previous miscarriages we are also holding our breath until the end. We will be praying for you and your precious little baby.
Hurrah! My prayers will be with Baby Y & Monica’s little one during my consecration today.

How refreshing to hear this Margaret! It has been a sad 3 weeks here for me. My cousin’s daughter passing suddenly at 26, a beloved priest passing Thursday and today news that a 20 year old friend of my son’s passing away from a terrible car accident. It is heartwarming to hear of New Life.
