A Double Annunciation

March 31, 2008 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Gratitude, Living Liturgically, Minnesota Me, Pregnancy 100 Comments

Today I am thinking about two infants.

I am thinking about the One in this image, hidden and needed by the world.
And I am thinking about this infant, also hidden and also needed
by five children and their parents.

I am nine weeks’ pregnant today!

Since discovering this surprise blessing on my husband’s birthday one month ago, we have been into the clinic twice weekly for Mama’s progesterone shot (my levels look great, thanks be to God) and we have seen via ultrasound the above testament to the beautiful, beating heart within me.

While I will continue to hold my breath until the end, I can no longer wait to introduce you to this little one that has so unexpectedly graced our lives. We affectionately refer to him or her as “Baby Y,” and your prayers for our family would be very much appreciated.

Happy Feast of the Annunciation! May it be done to us according to His Word.

Ad Jesum per Mariam,
