A Happy Outcome

January 9, 2007 by Minnesota Mom Filed Under: Gratitude, Minnesota Me, Special Events 3 Comments

A copy of my baptismal certificate is speeding its way toward me!

It was as simple as placing a call to the parish where I was baptised, which, in my case, was the Church of St. John in the little Minnesotan town of my birth.

Which was this town, if you’re wondering.

The church secretary, a lovely and helpful lady, exclaimed when she heard my maiden name, “Oh! I know your family! We lived across the street from you!” Did I mention it’s a little town?

Anyway, how cool is that?

And how exciting when it gets here! Was I baptised on a favorite feast day? Time and the USPS will tell.

I was baptized at St. John’s also, but in New Brighton, not Ortonville! Can’t wait to here the details.

Hey, I’m very familiar with that area and Ortonville. I have family just over the boarder in South Dakota.
