{and me on TV}
{i think}
Remember our visit to see Meghan in Wisconsin?
Her family (at least, four of them) returned the favor on Sunday. They were dropping off half their crew at the airport–a trip to Disney World with Grandma & Grandpa!–and were able to come for brunch afterwards.
Meghan brought her baby, which was good.
My girls and I wouldn’t have let her in the door if she hadn’t.
Seriously, though.
Of all the good things there are about my blogging…and there are many, along with the bad, the distracting, and the self-absorbed….
Of all the good things there are about my blogging…
Meeting families like this one ranks WAY up there.
Also? It just so happens to be Meghan’s birthday today!
I’m thinking she might be missing those four kids, so perhaps you could swing by her blog and send her some love? I know how sweet you all can be…
…and that’s the beauty of the blogosphere.
It brings us together in ways the “real” world sometimes can’t.
Although…
The real world can be really beautiful.
Here’s what I’m thinking and where I got the title of this post. This weekend we went to the 5 p.m. Mass at the Cathedral. We sat next to another family and I appraised them out of the corner of one eye. (Tell me you don’t do this!) The dad was good-looking and the mom was beautiful, with a perfect complexion and reddish-orange hair that matched her purse. Best of all, they had three of the handsomest little men I’ve seen–handsome, yes, but they were noisy!
I didn’t mind. They were so very cute.
As we neared the Consecration, the fidgety whispers grew to a crescendo. “Jesus is coming!” one of the little boys exclaimed. “Jesus is coming! Jesus is coming!”
Not surprisingly, I was really touched.
I would have been brought to my knees if I weren’t already there.
And last but not least…
It looks like I will be on TV after all! I was asked to do a spot on KARE 11 tomorrow–specifically, the 4 p.m. news on Wednesday, November 20th.
I am very nervous.
Please don’t throw vegetables at your screen.

Oh my gosh. That is precious. What adorable little boys!

Just yesterday I was telling Jack that the bells at the Consecration tell us that Jesus is here. I love that those little boys announced it for all those around them! How beautiful!

LOVE #4. That is absolutely the sweetest thing I've heard all day. And good luck on tv! You'll have to post a link to your spot for those of us that aren't in the viewing area.

My little guy used to get mad because he couldn't "eat" Jesus! And he would yell it out during Mass so that everyone would know!! Then after I received, he would hook his finger and try to put it in my mouth to get "Jesus" out!! One time during weekend Mass held in our "little church", (emphasis on little), he took off his shoe and threw it because he was soooo mad he couldn't have Jesus! The shoe was headed toward a senior citizen, when I threw my had in the air and intercepted it……good thing I used to be a softball player!! Well, this year, my little man will receive his First Holy Communion in May. I only hope and pray he receives it with as much fervor as he wanted Him those not so many years ago!!!

Just dropped in to say "hi." And that I missed seeing you last week at book club. I will try to watch KARE 11 tomorrow at 4p. It's the twins 6th birthday (!!!) and we're having a little birthday dinner/party, but hopefully I'll be organized enough to sit down at that time š
